This page is dedicated to my Grandfather, Richard
Dolphus Deel (January 8, 1897- ) of Greenbrier Creek of Russell
Prater, Buchanan County, Virginia, who inspired me several years ago to work on the
genealogies of the Deel Family as well as my other lineages. Grandpa, during his
lifetime, has seen the many changes that have occurred in Buchanan County for over 100
years. While he is now 101 years "young", I feel that it is truly a blessing
that he can still relate and provide information on many old families in the area. He has
always took time to answer the questions I had on these families as well as answer
questions other individuals may have had.
All members of the Deel Families in the
United States, in particular, Buchanan and Dickenson County, Virginia, are invited to join
in this project. If you are a member of this family and do not see your name listed,
please let me know by leaving me a message or if you are ready to submit to the page, you
can (i) set out the information in an email to me
(Bill Fuller) or (ii) create a file or gedcom and attach the file or
gedcom to an email to me. If you are still unsure on how to submit information, please
leave me a message and I will send by email detailed instructions on how it can be
