GRUNDY -- Kenneth Stiltner, 70 years of age, of Stiltner's Bottom, Route1, passed away Sunday, July 8, 2001, from an extended illness.
Born in Buchanan County, he was a son of Mrs. Lexettie Bartley Stiltner,Route 1, Grundy, and the late Frenchman Jake Stiltner. He had been alifelong resident of Buchanan County and served in the U.S. Army duringthe Korean conflict. He was a retired heating and air conditioning worker.
Mr. Stiltner is survived by his mother, Lexettie Bartley Stiltner, Route1, Grundy; two daughters, Deborah Larson, Escanaba, Mich., and SandraLiebgoll, Walled Lake, Mich.; one son, Kenneth Michael "Mickey" Stiltner,Detroit; and six grandchildren, David, Joshua, Heather, Anthony, Matthewand Samantha.
He was preceded in death by one sister, Marcella Stiltner Adkins; and twobrothers, Eugene and Willie Stiltner.
Graveside services will be conducted Wednesday, July 11, 2001, at 1 p.m.at Greenhills Memory Gardens with Elders Billy Campbell and HowardDaniels officiating with burial to follow in Greenhills Memory Gardens,Claypool Hill, Va.
Services will be held Tuesday evening at 7 p.m. in Grundy Funeral HomeChapel.
Full military rites will be conducted at the cemetery by members of JohnRatliff Post No. 164 of the American Legion.
Active pallbearers will be friends.
Grundy Funeral Home of Grundy is in charge of all arrangements.
